Velden’s nightlife is just as legendary as its reputation as a tourist resort. However, you have come to the wrong place if you are looking for large discos and mega dance temples. The nightlife in Velden is to be found in lounges, clubs and bars, as well as in pubs scarcely larger than your own living room – which makes it all the more cosy.

 

From sunset to sunrise the “fun mile” is buzzing with party-goers. The evening usually begins in one of the street cafés, simply because that is where you have the best overview. Somewhere in Velden, somebody is always playing the right music, and so the nightly pub crawl through Velden becomes a journey of discovery.

 

A fixed point of every evening and for every night owl is the Casinoplatz. Sooner or later everyone finds their way to the square – even without arranging to do so. Closing time in Velden conveniently coincides with the sunrise. It is just a pity that the bathing areas are not yet open at this time.

AQUA – Absolute hot spot, directly on the promenade, delicious ice cream, plenty of outdoor space, lake view on the terrace, also ideal before, during and after the “Sound Wave” water, light and laser show

 

Cafe Börserl – Trendy café, wonderful Austrian cheesecake (“Topfentorte”), motto: see and be seen, enjoy the sunset al fresco, you will always come across someone famous here

 

Cafe Moro – Am Corso, well-known, classic café

 

Cafe Konditorei Politzky – Belongs to Julischka Politzky, 07:00-24:00 from May to October, plenty of indoor and outdoor space

 

Konditorei Wienerroither – The best cakes in Velden! The only negative is the lack of outdoor seating
